I’m in need of a report that will run and show results when one of two selected fields have been changed in an asset.

We need to report when we move our equipment to different facilities. As such, when we setup the Computer asset in KACE, we added Department and Building fields so that we can update current locations.

I’ve written a report that pulls the needed data, but it gives a complete asset list. I haven’t found an option via KACE that lets me filter out changes made. I’ve also made a schedule for running the report and marked it to only run when results are present. But it too returns a full asset list.

I thought we were showed a way to do this in KACE Training, but I can’t seem to find any materials that go over it.

Essentially, I want to get the report to auto run on a weekly basis and show a list assets for which someone has changed the Department and/or Building locations. And sent that report to our company asset manager.


Here are the filed I need to see:


County Asset Number




PO Number

Serial Number



They are pulling from the Asset – Computer list. This is the list hat was premade when we installed KACE. We just add some additional fields.

What version of the K1000 are you running? Version 5.4 is supposed to add audit trails for many tables but previous versions don't track changes to assets, so this type of report won't be possible.

  • Thanks for the heads up. We're currently on v5.3.53053 so I'll have to wait until we update to see if the options are added in.
