K1000 7.0 Patching Windows 10

Before I file an issue with support I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else is running K1000 7.0 (Version: 7.0.121306) and having issues with deploying patches to Windows 10?

For years I have had automated detection and deployment schedules for common patches and they have worked well but it seems that these schedules are only detecting on Windows 10 and not deploying them.   Most our clients are running version Windows 10 version 1607 but we do have a handful of version 1511 in our environment still.   We also have a some machines still running Windows 7 and it seems that the patching works on Windows 7 for both detection and deploying.

When a detect and deploy or just a deploy schedule runs against a Windows 10 machine it will detect it needs a patch but report as "Not Patched" under Detect Status and Deploy Tries will say 0.

I have checked all the settings and my schedules are set to run against all versions of Windows so I cannot seem to find any errors in the way I am doing the automated patching.   I am also not sure if this was working correctly under K1000 version 6.4.

no problem here. my W10 systems (GA, 1511 and 1607 mixed) are patched regulary, and if I check against the Windows update all patches are installed, no errors seen so far in the appliance

  • Do you use the K1000 to deploy patches other than Windows/Microsoft patches? For Windows/Microsoft we use WSUS/SCCM so the patches I am referring to are for things like Flash, iTunes, Shockwave, etc... - bwilkerson 7 years ago
  • I cannot upload adequate images to show what I mean.. I tried but they are too small and blurry but what is being shown is the first picture is from a Windows 10 machine where it has detected it needs an adobe flash update but shows it as not patched and 0 tries patching it.

The other picture shows a Windows 7 machine where it has detected Adobe Flash updates and patched them successfully.

These are both from the same schedule and not specific for each OS. - bwilkerson 7 years ago
