Anyone have suggestions for this issue?

After the upgrade to v5.5.90545 when clicking Service desk it takes between 4 and 6 seconds to load the default queue. Prior to the upgrade it loaded upon clicking.  Other areas respond fine.

Every time any view of the queue is accessed it takes 4 - 6 seconds. i.e. if I edit a ticket and press save and list, change my view, assign a ticket via the actions drop down.  This across all my ticket owners, various vLANS and also WAN access.


To confirm this was not a network issue I tested from one VM to another on the same host, same network and experienced the same 4-6 second lag.

  • We just upgraded to 5.5 also and there is a noticeable delay in the service desk also.
  • It's not just the service desk. When I click in Computer Inventory and then try to use the search box, it takes about 10 seconds for me to be able to type in the box.
  • Yikes! I think we might wait to upgrade
  • I have an open ticket with Kace and I received word they are working on a fix for this.

I got this from support today.  Not sure why this affects 5.5 and not 5.4 but it made a slight difference.

The analyst took a look a the Kbox via the tether and found that Patch downloads based on patches detected as missing is marked and the download time is every 30 minutes, the new signature downloads is set to every four hours.

The analyst recommends increasing the download of new signatures to once a day in off hours (Lumension is not releasing patches hourly anyway so this is a waste of recourses) and the download of patches detect as missing to once or twice a day depending on your patch schedule. 

While clicking around in helpdesk and watching the logs, the helpdesk became slow as the patch download time came around.

    I realllly want to update and play with the unlimited wizard and user deletion but scared :(
    • I'm down to 5-6 seconds max for any task most are shorter. I got a hotfix and they told me to do the check for updates/download patches only twice a day which seemed to help a bit and then the hotfix.
