Are they not getting installed at all or just not appearing in the application's add-in list and/or toolbar? If the former, what does a verbose log tell you re: the features and components installed state?

An old version of Snagit that I did was a vendor msi.

So if it's still a vendor msi what did you do to it, hopfully not capture it!

@VBScab

addins are not getting installed in application and also the entry is not coming in registry in short they are not getting installed at all..and its a vendor MSI.
Actually in vendor MSI which got extracted from source showing addins under registry HKEY_USER_SELECTABLE

but in the exe provided it is showing the addins are getting under HKLM and HKCU location as stated in my previous post.

so i moved the HKEY_USER_SELECTABLE contents to respective HKLM and HKCU entries...but still m facing the problem...
kindly suggest what will be the issue.

I think this is not the problem. If the registries are in HKEY_USER_SELECTABLE then the registries will be written as per ALLUSERS property. If it is per machine then the reg are written to hklm and to hkcu if it is per user.

I think the problem will be somewhere else. check the log file, you may get some clue.
