Issue with Lockpermission table in vista

Hi Guys....
Has anyone experienced issues with the lockpermission table in Vista. while packaging a application using wise package studio 7.0 I was supposed to give permission to 2 HKLM hive keys, but since i have given them full permission i have been experiencing issues while testing the application say for eg the app self heals everytime i try to log in as a restricted user and inside admin profile even if i launch any other app still my packaged app starts healing...i have tried all steps and made sure that i have implemented lock permission correctly..do let me know and also if there are any support links such as by microsoft or wise that backs up this issue....
regards...

Have you checked in the Event Viewer to check which component is being repaired the GUID will be recorded there and you can check in the msi to se if it really is a problem with permissions.

I wouldn't personally use the lockpermissions table, better off with something like Setacl or xcacls

If you're using vista why not take advantage of application shimming and avoid the permissions problem altogether?

i have checked the event viewer as well but wasnt able to figure out a reason for the issue.....the thing is that i HAVE to use lockpermission table unless and until i find a valid document supporting that it is not feasible to be used in vista enviournment.....

can u please advise on what exactly is this application shimming???????????Not a clue. But I'd make Google my first port of call. If you can't find out about it on, say, MSDN, I really couldn't suggest anywhere else.

EDIT:
That was hard..."vista application shimming" as a Google search term...second hit http://msipackagingforvista.com/vista-application-compatibility-tools.html
