Installing JRE 1.5.0.15
Hello,
iam installing JRE 1.5.0.15 with following command line:
jre-1_5_0_15-windows-i586-p.exe" /s /v" /L* %SystemDrive%\Logs\jre-1_5_0_15-windows-i586-p.log /qb ADDLOCAL=jrecore IEXPLORER=1 REBOOT=Suppress JAVAUPDATE=0 AUTOUPDATECHECK=0 JU=0 SYSTRAY=0 WEBSTARTICON=0"
When i check control panel theres still an Update funktion enabled.
When i set this Regkey, the Update function is gone:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Update\Policy]
"EnableJavaUpdate"=dword:00000000
Can you confirm, that JAVAUPDATE=0 no longer works (from 1.5.0_04 and upwords?)
Someone in the package DB wrote about a bug in the control panel.
so that it still looks like auto-updating is enabled, but it is in fact absolutely disabled...
But i assume, i have to work with the Regkey.
