See here, where is it says: "The InstallExecuteSequence table lists actions that are executed when the top-level INSTALL action is executed."?

See the link in that first sentence? It says there: "The INSTALL action is a top-level action called to install or remove components. This action queries the InstallUISequence Table and InstallExecuteSequence Table for the action to execute, the condition for action execution, and the place of the action in the sequence:"

It's all in MSDN, as I believe I may have mentioned.

MSDN has a full list of anything you might want to know about Windows Installer : tables, properties, standard actions, the parameters they use, etc., etc.

  • ok,can you please clear me during uninstall time what may be the sequence.is it opposite to install time sequences? - @Imran9 6 years ago
    • Pretty much. This is easy for you to check - just perform an install with verbose logging enabled then perform the uninstall with verbose logging enabled. You can then compare the logs to see the order in which actions are performed. I assume you are aware that the InstallExecute sequence is a two step process between InstallInitialize and InstallFinalize as there is an immediate and a deferred flag available to control which step the actions are executed in. - EdT 6 years ago
