In the Service Desk - in the Search box at the right - I put in my search criteria and then I cannot get back to the list of all work requests

Hello,

I view all work requests, then I put in a search criteria of either a ticket number or a name - sometimes it shows me the results other times it says it found 0 matches.  Either way, I now want to view all the work requests again, and when I go to View by - this queue, All work Requests, the listing of all work requests does not come back.  It seems like a bug to me.

Yeah...its annoying, you have to clear out the search box and then search again. If you haven't done it already, I would create custom views so that you can go back to that view if you need to but you would still have to clear out the search box.

  • Can I create a custom view that I can share with my entire IT Staff? - sluciw 11 years ago
    • If you log in with adminui instead of admin (http://yourk1name/adminui), it will show you the full path of the custom view. You can create a bookmark in your browser and share that with your staff. - jknox 11 years ago
      • I believe that the other user needs to have that custom view created, however. I think that they are stored per user and not system wide. - chucksteel 11 years ago
  • Nope...when you create a custom view, it is for you only. It isn't shared. But they can just create the same view as you - nshah 11 years ago
  • Ok THanks. - sluciw 11 years ago

Personally I use the adminui interface (/adminui instead of /admin). This allows you to bookmark custom views in your browser so I can switch back and forth between searches and my custom views easily. Users can use /userui instead of /user for the same functionality.
