How to set service to automatic instead of manual.

Hi

Any one know, how I after installed a service, can set it to start automatic when windows starts up..

If you refer to an MSI install then:

Set the StartType column with the SERVICE_AUTO_START bit for the entry in the ServiceInstall table; ex. ServiceInstall.StartType=2

For the installation to automatically start the service during install then add the msidbServiceControlEventStart (1) bit to the ServiceControl.Event column for the service entry in the ServiceControl table

If not then you could set it in the registry for the service, by using services.msc, SC or any other tool supporting service management.
