help regarding msp files
Hi,
I have a patch file (.msp) to deploy. I am not sure how to deploy the file silently. I have couple of questions
1. How can I open .msp file using wise package studio. I need to check whether any new features added or not.?
2. Suppose if we have new features included in the patch. what is the command line to deploy the patch file?
If the patch does contain any new features.....is it compulsory to use REINSTALL="ALL" REINSTALLMODE="omus" since I deployed patch using msiexec /p "patch.msp" /qb.... I got all the updated files.

First, Google for "site:msdn.microsoft.com windows installer patch" and learn what a patch actually is. Your question then becomes redundant.
