Google Chrome Virtualized on Windows 2003

Hello ITninjas, can someone help me in this issue, i have sequenced google chrome 29.0 and i am trying to launch this virtually in a windows 2003 machine, the appilcaiton shows "ShutDown" after loading (100%) Please help!

When i looked at the event viewer i found that its looking for GOogle update services.

  • Did you disable updates, as per this recipe?

    What did you virtualise it on? Ideally you'd sequence on your lowest common OS. So if you sequenced on Windows 7 it might not be ideal. - dunnpy 10 years ago
  • the updates are disabled as per the recipe? Yes, i have sequenced it on Win 7 32 bit, we wil again sequence it on a 2003 Server and check if this resolves the issue. thanks D - shreeitninja 10 years ago
  • Yeah, you need to sequence on Win2k3, Win7 is totally diff.
    Prob could of gotten away with Win7, then using it on Win2k8 (: - rileyz 10 years ago
  • Hello Rileyz, i sequence Chrome on windows 2003 server, i still see that the application shuts down after loading 100%. This is what i see in event Viewer:

    {tid=1FA0}
    Automatic Service 'gupdate' not STARTED due to previous error.
