The admin portal only has a login/password.  If you are looking to modify the User Portal those settings are under Settings -> General Settings.

We have already changed the text on the User Portal login page.  We are looking for a way to post notices internally for our own IT Staff, such as a change to the ERP or a network maintenance outage after hours that won't affect the users but may affect other planned IT work.  Is there something in the system that we could use for this internal IT communication? I thought there was.

  • No functionality exists for pop ups yet: http://kace.uservoice.com/forums/82699-k1000/suggestions/1322769-service-desk-major-outage-alerts-on-user-portal
    • On second glance, there appears to be a way for the user portal in that link.

I'd either use KB articles or system alerts to the desktops.

  • I actually like this idea. Have a smart label for all of the IT computer users and then send a message to that label.
  • I'm looking for a way to post and have a record of our announcements about changes to our Support staff. A pop up message on their computer screen is no guarantee they'll get it and we don't have a record - so still looking for a bulletin board. However, I was able to hide a KB article based on a label and at this point, I think this is the way I will accomplish the goal. Thanks everyone!
