Folder level permissions in WPS

Anybody know how to set permissions on a directory that's alreday part of your MSI? I found out how to do it under 'Create Folder', but nothing so far on an existing directory, as you'd get in a capture.

Thanks in advance!

I dont know if you can do it with the WPS tool, but you certainly could go to MSI Script and add a "Call VBScript From (insert preferred source here)"

Hope that helps.

Hi George,

Best way to do this is with the 'Create Folder'. That is true even if the folder is already in the package. This creates an entry in the lock permissions table. I think it best to create a component and name it something like "_PackageChanges" and include the permission changes there. The underscore causes it to go the the top of the component list when you sort.

Thanks for all the info! I'll try it on a test package.

Thanks again!
