You are trying to place a query and an update in the configuration of a the queue. The SQL that I posted in the other answer are for creating a rule, not for defining a custom field.

Top Answer

  1. Service Desk, Configuration
  2. Rules
  3. Select the appropriate queue
  4. Choose Action, New Rule (SQL)
  5. Give it a name and description
  6. Place the select statement and update fields in the appropriate text boxes
  7. Set schedule to run on save
  8. Save the rule
That should be it.
