Using HPCA (Radia) publisher for packaging. When I tried to uninstall the Fujitsu ScandAll PRO 1.6 software from the application self service manager (from the client workstation). The program is not getting removed from add/remove and also the shortcut is still present on the desktop. When trying to repair or re-install the software I get an error message with the following: Client Automation Application failed. The Program/method used to install the component returned with an error 709.

The batch file is calling the exe file as following: start /wait c:\foldername\setup.exe /s /flc:\foldername\scan.iss[/align][/align]

Is this for install or uninstall?

For install, be sure the ISS file is in the same directory as the setup.exe. If you haven't created the ISS file, run setup.exe -r and it will be created and put in c:\windows.

If this is for uninstall, look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall for your app and look at the uninstall string.
