Downloaded this package; (Dismiss Windows 7 Scripted Install Error in WinPE4 and WinPE5)
I have imported the PR27_1426100608_8168.pkg & PR26_1426094608_5753.pkg as directed. there are matching .xml files that I do not know what to do with. Then how do I setup the pre-installation task?

There are 2 ways to import tasks (if the task if less than 2Gb). You can do it via the webui by selecting upload package from the package management import page and selecting the .pkg file or you can put both files in the restore share and then go to import packages page and select them from the ui. The .xml files are only used when you put items in the restore share, they are not needed if you select upload package from the package management upload page.
Once they are imported, drag the appropriate task into your scripted install, and it should work as desired.
