DirectX for managed Code Vs Managed DirectX

hey Guys,
A query on microsoft DirecX. I am provided with two set of installation Files.

SetUp 1:
I have got a dxsetup.exe and a good number of Cab files.
dxsetup.exe Attributes:
Version: 4.9.0.904
Time Stamp: 20/07/2007
The installation Directory is "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\DirectX for managed Code\"

SetUp 2:
I have a dxsetup.exe; mdxredist.MSI and cab files.
dxsetup.exe Attributes:
Version: 4.9.0.904
Time Stamp: 17/08/2007
MSI attributes:
product name: DirectX for Managed Code Update (October 2004)
product version: 9.02.3900
Time Stamp: 17/08/2007
The files are installed to the folder: "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Managed DirectX\v9.02.3900"

1. how do i check the version of "SetUp 1" ? It does not give any entry in ARP. Also no executable file is installed by it.
2. Are these two different versions of the same application or entirely two different applications ??

Giving "dxdiag" on "Run" gives me the info that the DirectX version installed as Direct X 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904). This value remains the same before install of either of these versions and after installation of both.[:@]
More i google, more i get confused. Can someone help me in this ??????

Thanks,
Rajesh.
