  • It is certainly possibly, but how to go about it will depend upon how you are deploying your applications. Group Policy, K1000, SCCM, App-V...?

Yes. You can associate a Managed Installation with a Smart Label that is targeted against computers with old versions of the particular software. Example:

I would strongly recommend getting accustomed to labels and their uses as they can save you a lot of time. Some helpful videos:

What software are you talking about, some software like adobe reader looks for previous versions and removes them when upgrading, MS office will leave the old version to co exist
