Does KACE has capability to detect if replication share is down then to nominate other machine as replication share?

Yes and machine where the agent is supported can be a rep share. Any share on a machine that can be mapped to from an agent machine can be used as a rep share

The only failover option is back to kbox. I think that is the default and you can turn that failover on or off. However, since the reference is by unc path (using hostname and sharename) you could possibly setup your own redundancy as a black box to the kbox agent. If it can find that share and the data then it will grab the file.
