I am curious as to how people are dealing with an inventory of multiple "computer" manufactures and linking them to the asset type of computer. I have Macs, Dells, HP and Vmware machines that get inventoried. BIOS Serial #/Service Tag seems to be the default approach, but this doesn't cover Macs or VMs very well. What approach are you guys taking that have a similar issue? I wish I could have different asset types and make association rules like you can with Smart labels.
