Checking diskspace for installation. SiPass
Hi ..
I am trying to install Siemens SiPass Version 2.35 on Vista. I get a message while installing as " The application is checking the diskspace".
The message appears for a long time and the app never installs.
I tried to reduce the diskspace on the virtual machine and tried to install some dummy application before installing the SiPass.. But still i face the same problem.
Have anybody faced the same problem???
please provide any solution.

Is this an MSI and such case what does a verbose log tell you?
If not an MSI try see what happens behind the scene using Process Monitor.

Do you have your VMs set to connect the 'virtual' CD-ROM drive? I've noticed that occasionally, installs and compiles take F O R E V E R if the drive is "connected". As soon as it's disconnected, the thing starts flying. My VMs are XP Pro, though, but maybe Vista's the same in this regard? Worth a go, anyway.
