cannot uninstall vendor msi

Hello,

have any one had a problem that after installed vendor msi transform and trying to install later version of the same program it whont uninstall it, pop ups windows installer warning that another version of this product is already installed.
i tried to configure upgrade codes but that dont work easer, so i`m confused how can i remove priveaus version, maybe some custom action need to be created or somthing, please help.

Check the ProductCode of the two packages.

i see, ok i changed the product codes, but now the problem is that program upgrades files but not remove from add remove programs previaus version, how can i manage to remove it from there?

go to the "altiris knowledge base" this you will find on google
go to the search engine and type in upgrades . there you can read info on how to do an upgrade.

there is lots of info on this site covering upgrades

all you need to do is move the "removeexistingproducts" custom action

look at where it needs to be moved to in the installexecutesequence table

Check your upgrade table and change all the upgrade codes and conditions so it doesn't perform an upgrade.
