Calling executable that is stored in binary versus calling from destination executable

I prefer to use when calling a well used executable like setacl "Execute Program From Installation". Due to the custom action stores the resources in the binary of the .MSI, upon compilation".

However my collegaue prefers when using setacl "execute from destination, what is the best practice method. ie is calling a exe that resides on destination PC

What is the best method?

It's down to personnel preference. But I would say if you are using a file that's part of the OS the run from destination. Otherwise execute from installation
