CAD 2008
HI,
I have to install 3 msi ( cad 2008, filter, symbols) + one service pack(wrapped msi) that upgrades cad 2008 from 5.3 to 5.8 . if i install in /qn mode the shortcut is not getting launched , it prompts an error with product code.
if i install it with /qr , the application shortcut gets launched and application is fine but getting process screen during installtion
pls tell me how to make this a package work with / qn

I suspect that there is a Custom Action in the User Interface sequence which hasn't been copied (or set to execute) in the Execute Immediate sequence, a common issue. I bet I know where that app was packaged...
Anyway, use a transform and copy the rogue CA into the EI sequence and re-run the install.
Then, offer your revised install to the vendor for some extortionate fee. You may have some difficulty extracting it, since they clearly couldn't afford to have it done properly in the first place.
