Hi, i am confused for "sourcelist", c:\windows \installer, is a source list or it may be a other place, please respond to this, i have seen in many website, confusing more than a bit.

You application will not be able to repair files from this location. You will have to use other location for original MSI.

In Windows 7 it creates cache of the whole MSI with cab files but still it will not repair from here.

  • Hi Piyushnasa, still it confusing, i make my question simple, i have installed sample .msi application in xp, now where i can find / where installer develops the "source list" ? and the package we get in c:\windows\installer, whats the use of it, how it will get installed, As i told before i read many forums, i dont know why i am getting confusing, Now i am placed a simple question above, please provide a practical answer.

    MINE QUESTION IS WHERE I CAN FIND "SOURCELIST" is this the place where the installation package is got installled? example i have copy of .msi installation packaged in D: drive, this is the source list? please respond to this.
