Books Documentation ETC
Can Anyone recommend any really good books/PDF's etc for real indepth info about creating MSI's and the layout of the tables. I've been building packages for sometime but when it comes to digging around in the MSI script or the tables to fire off custom actions, or fix errors etc I don't have any point of reference other than Appdeploy.
PS mostly using Wise for packaging but OCRA when Wise is a little over zealous.

There is some good material on the Wise web site in the system administrator resource centre here. You have to stick in some contact details to get to it.
There's also some useful stuff on ewall.org
This is not bad too considering it's free.
You best reference material by far though is the MS Platform SDK documentation here.
Use Orca as much as you can if you want to get a good basic understanding of how the tables work together, for looking at what transforms are doing and for validation etc.
