Back revving a file

Newbie Question

I need some help. An app was deployed with a bad dll and we need to replace it with a prior version. WFP wont allow this. It affects 3 apps and even after uninstalling all 3 the dll remains in Windows\system32.
I created new packages that function as upgrades (more than just that one dll was changed but it was the only back-revved file) and work fine except for the one file.

Distributing via SMS 2. Repackaging in WPS4.52. Not familiar with the MSI script tool built in.

TIA

Ok, if the file is covered by Windows File Protection you'll have to basically disable it.
