Attaching AnyConnect Profile.xml in Kace

I am trying to figure out a way to attach the .xml file I created with the profile editor in Kace. I am able to deploy the client with no issues at all but I figured there would have to be a way to include the default ip that the client needs to connect to, right? Currently, I have the .xml file attached in the scripting tab as a dependancy but apparently I'm not doing something quite right. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

I install it from a batch file which installs the client then copies the xml file:

msiexec /qr /i C:\run\anyconnect1\anyconnect-win-3.0.blah-blah-blah.msi
copy <Location of custom xml file> "C:\Users\All Users\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile\"

...profile location differs by version of AnyConnect client of course but this populates the address for me...

Are you saying that you are looking for a way to copy the AnyConnect profile.xml file from script dependency to some other location ?

  • Well that the thing... Im not sure that I'm even doing this properly in the first place. I created a new scripted install for our Cisco AnyConnect client and I am able to silently deploy the package. I downloaded the AnyConnect editor and plugged in the address to our server. It gave me a .xml file. I then went into the K1000 and tried to add that xml as a dependency hoping that the ip address would already be populated in the AnyConnect client upon initial launch. I need to have our vpn address auto populate so the users just have to press connect and update the new install. Is that even possible? - cwest311 11 years ago
