As downloaded from the vendor, you'll have an MSI file and a ".lic" license file.
The MSI file, if you try to run it from a command prompt, will report that it does not support unattended installation.
However, you can download an installer at: https://www.slickedit.com/index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=41&id=203&lang=en&view=article
This installer will provide a 32-bit and 64-bit MST file you can use with the vendor's MSI, and a PDF file giving additional options for silent installation.
MAKEDESKTOPSC=0 will disable desktop shortcut creation (off by default)
APPENDTOPATH=1 will add the SlickEdit installation folder to the PATH environment variable (off by default)
MAKESENDTOSC=1 will create a shortcut in the Send To menu (off by default)
MAKEQUICKLAUNCHSC=1 will create a shortcut on the Quick Launch menu (off by default)
The license file, on Windows 7, should be placed in two locations after installation (and renamed to "slickedit.lic"):
C:\ProgramData\slickedit\17\
C:\Users\All Users\slickedit\17\
Silent uninstall is as simple as:
msiexec /x {7040E567-ACD6-41E8-95DA-154CEEDB0A18} /quiet /norestart
