Note

The Azure Storage Explorer supports following versions of Windows Operating System:

  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows 10

Steps: 

1). Download and Install Azure Storage Explorer to your Windows Machine.

Download Link: https://www.storageexplorer.com/

2). Sign in to Azure Storage Explorer

  1. Click on View > Account Management or directly select the Manage Accounts.
  2. To add a new account click on Add an Account
  3. Now select the azure environment in which you want to sign in.
  4. On successful sign In the signed account will be visible under Account Manager

Steps to Migrate PST to Office 365 using Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer:

Step 1: Generate SAS URL that is used to upload PST to Azure Blob Storage.

  • Create New Import JOB: Open Exchange Admin Center >> Compliance >> Information Governance >> Import >> Import PST File >> New Import JOB                                              Give name to your JOB >> Upload Your Data >> Show Network Upload SAS URI.  This will show your the SAS URI and that URI will be used in our Azure Storage Explorer to upload PST to Azure Blob Storage.

Step 2: Connect Azure Storage Explorer with SAS URL

  • Right Click on Storage Account >> Connect to Azure Storage >> Use Shared Access Signature (SAS) URI >> Enter the SAS URI here >> Click on Next button. 

Step 3: Upload PST File

  • Now Upload PST file from Azure Storage Explorer by clicking on Upload button. You can upload multiple PST files there.

Step 4: Create CSV Mapping File and Map Mailboxes with PST File to complete the PST to Office 365 upload process. Refer to the Video tutorial where i have shown a Live example of PST to Office 365 upload using Azure Storage Explorer

Installing Azure Storage Explorer in Linux OS using Snap

  • Step 1: Enable Snapd and then snable snapd-scoket
  • Step 2: Install the Azure Storage Explorer using Snapd install command
sudo snap install storage-explorer
  • Connect Azure Storage Explorer to Gnome Keyring with snap connect command
snap connect storage-explorer:password-manager-service :password-manager-service
Now we have successfully connected Gnome Keyring with Azure Storage Explorer and you will be able to run it.
