**Extracting the files**
-Run xmauthor4610.exe and tell it to use C:\TEMP\XMA4610 to extract to
-When presented with a menu, leave it alone
-copy the contents of C:\TEMP\XMA4610 to the network

**Creating the ISS file**
Launch with a –r switch to create a setup.iss file in C:\Windows
<network path>\xmetal\setup.exe -R /f1"C:\Temp\xmAuthor.iss"

Gotchas: I originally struggled when I used the –r instead of the –R switch. Using the –r switch gave me RESULTCODE=-3 meaning I was missing something in the ISS file. While using the –R switch, however, I also selected the “Typical” install instead of the “Custom” install.

-select options as needed
-When asked to reboot, say No

-Copy the xmAuthor.iss file to the network share.


**Launching silently**
<network path>\setup.exe /s /f<network path>\xmetal\xmAuthor.iss /f2%TEMP%\xmAuthor_error.log -verbose

The notes from Blast Radius say that I need the /Z switch for entering the license. I typed in the License number during the creation of the ISS file and it worked. If you need it use it like this: /z"abc-123"
