Note

Please set "Install_Mode" environment variable on the Win 7 machine with value as "ins" for installation and "rem" for uninstallation.

How to navigate to Environment Variables -> Right click on "Computer" -> Select Properties -> Select "Advanced System Settings" -> Select Environment Variables -> Set "Install_Mode" variable with value as ins under System variables.

Click on Apply and OK

Once the varaible is set, please click on control.cmd with Run As Administrator.

Note

Installation folder structure is like that of CS4, including an en_US_deployment.xml file. However, it installs like other CS5 products. I followed the instructions from this Adobe website http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/842/cpsid_84211.html, and made my own Deploy folder for the application.override.xml and install.xml files.
