windows installer WON'T STOP {whimper}
everytime i boot, everytime i open windows explorer, and everytime i open internet explorer i get a windows installer dialog box that's trying to install microsoft money 2002. 1) nobody wants that, 2) i didn't ask for it, 3) the installer can't even find the money.msi file so it tells me it's on another network (no, it's not). it just won't stop!!! where do i find whatever it is that's making windows installer think it should install money.msi?

Did you install it at some point? Sounds like the MSI is trying to auto-repair. Is money listed in your add remove programs anywhere?

I am having the same problem. I can't delete the files either and when I look in properties of the msmoney folder it always changes back to read only. also when I try to delete it it says the files are in use.
a similar problem with another folder (which is empty) It won't allow me to delete the folder and says it is being used by another app but the folder is totally empty!!!

this contains the file but you should be able to find it on microsoft's website which I would trust more but hella fuck microsoft anyways.

Carlz, link from your post is for "My Money", software created by ZPSSoft, not "Microsoft Money" that partner_inkrime is asking about.
I happen to have both programs and while frustrated and disappointed in Microsoft Money I never have problems with ZPSSoft "My Money" installer-uninstaller or software itself. However, I recommend this software download only from ZPSSoft official web site.
This software is better then MS Money and quite popular so naturally, "free" downloads with "crack" could be found at some [>:] sites. Who is looking to save 10 bucks (that’s the price for the full version) will download "Free My Money" plus virus or spy ware...I did that unintentionally and was forced to format my hard drive [:@]
To download free version directly from manufacturer:

When you download from the official web site, you are guaranteed to have no virus - spy ware and windows installer will install and uninstall My Money without any problems. In case that you like the software, upgrade to full version is also available from the main menu. [:D]
