Windows Installer service could not be accessed
Hi all,
I have created the package for a windows based application using Wise package studio 8. But when i tried to install throu .CMD file or direct installation of MSI I'm getting the error " Windows installer service could not be accessed". I found that there is hotfix for windows XP KB972397-V2 which is blocking my application to install. once i remove the hotfix from my machine then i was able to install my application.
My friend was telling me that we can do some changes in windows installer editor while packaging itself to solve this error.
but I dont know how to do... Could anyone pls tell me... I really appreciate... Its very urgent....
Note: I tried to unregister and redo the windows installer installation and also many things found on the microsoft knowledgebase.
