Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Happens with anything I try to download or install from a disk/website... Microsoft website has been very un helpful and everyone wants 100-200$ for 10 minutes of there time. Please help. I'm kind of computer illiterate so make it easy to understand please.. lol

Does this happen for one MSI or any MSI you try to install?
What does a verbose log tell you?

If this is occuring for every MSI that you try to install, it is almost certain that one or more components of the Windows Installer engine is broken.

In this order, using an account with administrator privileges, try:

- REGSVR32 %SystemRoot%\SYSTEM32\MSI.DLL
- Try your installation
- %SystemRoot%\SYSTEM32\MSIExec /regserver
- Try your installation
- Download and run the Windows Installer Clean-up Utility
- Try your installation
- Re-install Windows Installer.
