Where does the "Device" drop down under the service desk tickets section which state "Filter on submitter assigned devices" look at?

I have imported myself from our Active Directory and my "user" name under (Settings - Users) shows up in the "Submitter" drop down when creating a new ticket, but when I check the "Filter on submitter assigned devices" box for device the only thing that shows up under that drop down is "Unassigned". Can anyone tell me where this looks at?

Thats because you don't have any device assigned to your self.

In assets, go to "Computer with Dell Agent" type, then you need an asset field called "Assigned To" to be a dropdown of all your users. Then go into your own machine's asset record and change "assigned to" to be yourself. Save it, then you should have it show up when filtered in the ticket.

  • So I found this ticket as we also don't have any devices (or assets) pulling when we click on the "Filter on submitter assigned devices/assets"

    I checked each device and asset (its the same computer)... I am assigned to it but it still doesn't show up when I am creating a ticket.
