Where are the Adobe CS3 licences located
Hia all
I fight with the problems, that in the Network are several Adobe CS3 installations made by hand..
I have to find a way, that all Users order the Software within from a tool - therefore i search a way to kill the licence - so that the User must Order it like the processes are..
They must uninstall it via Helpdesk and Add-Remove Software - we should not remove installations made by Hand...
My idea is to kill the "licence" Information - so they arent able to work without ordering the packaged Version.
Does someone know, where the licence is located? Is it a registry key, or a file?
Thanks for helping me out!
Heinz

My immediate reaction is that even nif you do this, won't tey just re-enter their serial number and be done with it? I'm presuming that they have it in their hands and loaded it the first time so why couldn't they just do it again to 'fix' the problem you're about to cause? :)
I won't make the obvious statements about using installing software, needing admin rights, and things along those lines cause there's so many things that can lead to where you are now.
That being said... CS3 stores licenses in a strange place. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\Cache. The are files there that are sqllite and within those tables is where it will say what's licensed. in theory, you could delete those and it'll just say that they need to plug in the serial number again.
you're best bet would be to install the app from scratch, then do a repckage of the changes made from the point where you add in the license info and then back out those changes. :)

They have need 1 year to organize the Corp Serialkey - so many Handinstallations where here :-( Helpdesk installed it via remote-support.. UInfortunately there are CS, CS2 and CS3 installations by hand...
Today i have do the remove Package. I picked up the HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Currentversion/Uninstall from CS2 and CS3, and remove it on MSI capatiblities..
Remember: to remove CS3 by MSI, you need to supply the properties to enable MSI driven uninstall without Setup.exe
It have to look this way: msiexec /x {CB3F8375-B600-4B9F-83C9-238ED1E583FD} /qb! ADOBE_SETUP=1 UPGRADINGPRODUCTCODE=1 for each MSI
Thanks for helping!
