How many times? Jeez...
Run the install with a verbose log. That will give you a lot more information to go on.

I wrote a wise script to uninstall Acrobat Reader 8 and its language packs, if found. Then install Acrobat Reader 9 and its language packs. Instead of upgrading, first uninstall 8 (and its language packs) and then install 9 (and its language packs).
