We are still looking; so far we have uncovered only the following:

  • Network Client Administrator tool from NT Server

  • NetBoot from the BackOffice Resource Kit (BORK)

  • BlackMagic NetBoot - A German freeware utility for creating network boot disks

Microsoft LAN Manager for DOS (free)Download it here. There are four files (DSK3-1.EXE, DSK3-2.EXE, DSK3-3.EXE, DSK3-4.EXE). A helpful set of installation instructions can be found here.

Microsoft Network Client for DOS (free) Download it here. Extract with DSK3-1.EXE -D and DSK3-2.EXE -D to 2 floppies. Speedup installation by extracting to
a temp directory instead of floppies, install with SETUP.EXE and then delete the installation files in the temp directory.

IBM LAN Client for DOS. [IBM Networking Tech Support]IBM LAN Client minimizes the use of DOS conventional memory for network communications. It is a program that provides interfaces to support network application programs using selected IBM Token-Ring adapters. It allows a client workstation to communicate with an IBM LAN Server at Version 3.0, Version 4.0 and Warp Server, or with a Novell NetWare Server at Version 2.15c or higher, or to use TCP/IP applications. The IBM Novell client and DOS LAN services code is included with this package. In addition, support is provided for programs written to the NetBIOS or IEEE 802.2 application programming interfaces.
