Anil, your post is in the wrong forum. This forum is concerned with actual errors returned by the Windows Installer engine. You should have posted in 'Package Development'.
I suggest that you need to do some reading or, better yet, book yourself on a Windows Installer course. This subject is too far-reaching to go into here.

Upgrades are in the form of an MSI and patch in the form of MSP.
Patches are usually used when you want to update a smaller portion of a installed package or administrative installation.
