Virtual Kontainers
I seem to remember at the conference that someone had mentioned virtual kontainers would become part of the basic kbox offering (I thought it was actually supposed to be included in 5.1). Is this still true, or is my memory on the fritz?

They are changing virtual kontainers quite a bit for the 5.2 release, so it's only available in 5.1 by special request (if you didn't have it prior to 5.1). Put in a support ticket if you really want to mess with it before the 5.2 release. Since they are making drastic changes and it's only a few months away, you may be better off waiting for 5.2.
