User Downloads - zip package doesn't fully extract

We have a Skype client package that works fine as a managed distribution. This is uploaded to KBOX and downloaded as a zip archive to the client. However when adding this to User Downloads in User Portal it fails because the zip file is not fully extracted on the client download, a setup.dll is missing, as well as a readme file. We have confirmed the files are in the zip archive on the client, just not extracted.

What is the cause & solution?

  • Try to re-do the ZIP file. maybe something is wrong with it.
    Another good call could be the antivirus that is too much ''curious''.
    The processes of the agent that are dealing with Managed Installations are the same that are dealing with User Downloads at the end.
