Upgrades and Rollbacks

Hi all,

Just wondering what is the best way once I have upgraded a package to rollback.

We have a package that is at version 10.256, I need to upgrade it to version 11, which is fine. But we also need to rollback it back if there is a issue back to 10.256. I dont want to uninstall 11, as it will removed all the files, so can I rollback or ungrade whatever its called back to 10.256. Or do I need to install all the level to get it back to 10.256.

Ta, TG

The WI engine automatically rolls back if an installation fails. If you mean that you want to roll back after installation, then wouldn't you simply uninstall v11 and re-install 10.256?

if your feature structure hasnt changed you could make the next release a patch which would then give you the ability to remove the patch.

but this sounds like more of a major upgrade based on your version increase.

Yeah it is, so I will have to remove it and reinstall it to get it back to the 10.2 version.
