Upgrade to SAV 9.0.4.1000

Doe anyone know an easy way to script the uninstall of all previous versions to Symantec Antivirus 9.0 and reinstall. I believe I somehow need to get NoNav to run, reboot, and install the new client, all on a domain where the users do not have admin rights, with everything from AV versions 7-9. We need to accomplish this on 3000 machines before we can upgrade to SAV 10. Any help would be appreciated, as I am new to packaging, and our enterprise is too cheap to spend the money to do it any other way than to let me sit here and fumble through it.

Thanks

I had to do the same thing.... get all the clients to 9 so we could go to 10. Because of the way that all of the 7.5 versions were installed on our machines (1300 or so) we had to manually uninstall them and then deploy 9.0.110 to them. If you have client version 8 or higher I had no problems deploying 9 to them via AD group policy. It uninstalled the old client and installed the new one automatically.
I assume your using AD in your environment. Have you deployed software via Group Policy yet?
