Updated Merge Modules for Wise Studio?

Anyone out there happen to know where I could obtain the latest Merge Modules for Wise Studio (currently using version 5.6)? Unfortunately, my company's too cheap to pay for a Wise Support account, so I can't logon and download it directly.

Have already tried the 'official' method (Launch Windows Installer Editor – Help menu - Download Redistributables. You have your choice of
(a) Wise website (merge modules, WinInstaller, .Net components)
(b) Third-party vendor websites (selection will vary)
(c) Product CD

Select (a) merge modules and it tells me I already have all the latest modules, but this is suspect as most of the ones I have are 2+ years old (and have older file versions than vendor-supplied applications). Anyone have an alternate site or a direct-download ftp/url ?

Much obliged for any tips, thanks.

Hi norexx,
We don't have a wise support account either but don't have any problems to download MM's with package studio.
Try the following: rename your current 'Merge Modules' directory below the 'Wise Share Point' folder and create a new 'Merge Modules' directory.
Or you can change the entry in the 'merge module' tab in the Tools-Options menu and point it to an empty folder of your own.
If you afterwards run the MM-download function it shouldn't find any local MM's and point you to the available downloads.
Hope this helps.

nheim,

Thanks for the tip. I tried renaming the MM folder and I re-downloaded all the Wise merge modules, but ended up with the same set of (mostly outdated) files. I'm beginning to think we're limited by the fact we have an old version of Wise Studio, and those MSM files and/or download site may be tied to this specific version. Was worth a shot, though --thanks.

Hi norexx,
another possibility would be, to download the V7 trial-version of Package Studio, run the download there and copy the MM's to your production environment.
