It sounds like you have the wrong GUID.

Are you using the uninstall sting that kbox has under software?

Try installing the application twice or thrice and check if the keypath which holds the uninstall string is changing, if it changes everytime, then you won't be able to uninstall it with normal uninstalling script which refers to only GUID, because then it won't be able to find the uninstall string as the holding path of uninstall string changes everytime. so, first find that and if you find the path is changeable then you have to write a different kind of VBS to uninstall the app, and for ur clue the script should be written such a way that it should first find the GUID and then it will take the uninstall string which is there along with the GUID.

  • Have you checked under "HKCR\Installer\Products\ " for an uninstall string ? Is it an InstallShield application, if not then try to create an MSI. - aridutt007 12 years ago
