unable to connect to driver share from xp system

I am setting up my k2000 trial box and when I attempt to connect to the k2000\drivers share, I am prompted for a password. I have tried using the default k2000\guest username and admin as the password, but the password prompt reappears. I tried changing the password under General Settings. Even though it is an XP system I have checked the LAN manager authentication level. I also have no firewall running. Any help would be appreciated!

jd13,

Try mapping a drive to the driver share.

I don't know why this works but it does...

I tried that too... but I am still presented with the password prompt. I tried k2000\guest and k2000\admin with their respective passwords but the password prompt just keeps presenting itself.

Are you trying to access it from a Windows 7 OS?

Have you tried instead of mapping a drive to use UNC path instead? example: \\k2000\drivers\

In the prompt window,
for username, type : \admin (Using \ means logging into that particular machine and not into any domain)
For password ,type : admin

Let me know if this works.
