I feel like I am running in circles. Is there any good tutorials for different methods of installing the agent or how to use agentless?

There is a great training video for (nearly) all agent installation tasks:
https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/kb/237713/implementation-course-2-installing-the-kace-sma-agent-web-based-training-wbt-

The easiest way is using a GPO or a post install task of the SDA or your favourite deployment tool.

Agentless is a collection of multiple ways to inventory devices which are not supported by the agent or should not have an agent installed.
Depending on the way to agentless inventory you will get different informations.
From the most to the least:
- SSH/WinRM
- SNMP/VMWARE
- Active Directory
- NMAP
- PING/SOCKET

in addition you can import the inventory of some MDM solutions (KACE Cloud, GSuite, Airwatch)

So it is depending what you need.
You can do this manually or automatic depending on your needs.
https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/kb?k=agentless contains many articles for the different OS you can inventory.

Here are some Quest KB articles that might help.

We use the GPO tool:

If they don't, can you give us more information about what you're having trouble with?
