trying to find a recovery cd
I have a gateway tablet pc ta1 that I need a recovery cd for to fix the operating system can any one help me find where I can get it [:D]

yes even have tablet pc install disk but what its actually doing is every thing but the operating system can find the hard drive and we are talking its there in the bios but when you try to install the operating system it says no hard drive

Sounds like you don't have the correct recovery CD for your machine if it doesn't work.
At a guess, if the BIOS sees the drive and it's not faulty, Windows is missing the storage drivers (probably SATA) and therefore can't see the drive to install.
You'll need to get the correct drivers and hit F6 at the correct time when loading Windows to provide the additional drivers.
