Ticket Categories - incorrect order

I'm setting-up KACE for the first time and have noticed something odd with the Ticket Categories.... The category drop-down lists are not in the same order as the categories listed on the Services Desk \ Configuration \ Customize Fields & Layouts screen.

I have built a 3-tier category structure but the main categories (1st level) aren't appearing in the correct order.

In what order are the category values shown? It's not alphabetical and it's not the order I've chosen....

Any assistance would be much appreciated,

This is something I was just coming on here to ask. It doesn't appear to have any rhyme or reason with the way you set it up on the admin side.

What I have notices is as follows if you have 5 categories

software::office
software::adobe
hardware
networking
software::tools

you would see it as follows in the dropdown

hardware
networking
software (since software is the last entry and there are others above it it goes to the bottom
